Meet Shannon Faulkner
Retirement Mortgage Specialist | Housing Wealth Educator
Your home is often one of the largest assets you bring with you into retirement. Understanding how it fits into the years ahead can open the door to more choices. I help homeowners and their families understand their housing wealth, explore their options, and make informed decisions about what comes next.
Whether you are preparing for retirement, already retired, hoping to remain in your home, considering a move, or helping a parent or family member, my approach begins with listening and education—not a mortgage product.
My goal is simple: help you understand your options so you can decide what makes sense for you.

A Different Kind of Mortgage Conversation.
I believe conversations about your home in retirement should begin with your life—not with a loan.
Before discussing a particular mortgage option, I want to understand where you are today, what you would like the years ahead to look like, and how your home fits into that picture.
Sometimes that conversation leads to a retirement mortgage strategy. Sometimes it doesn't. Either way, you should leave with a better understanding of your housing wealth, the choices available to you, and the questions worth considering before making a decision.
That is the purpose behind my Housing Wealth Review.
Education Has Always Been at the Heart of My Work
I have been connected with Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation since 2017 and joined Fairway professionally in 2024. Since then, I have had the privilege of working with homeowners and families throughout Washington as they navigate important housing decisions in and around retirement.
My work has also grown beyond individual mortgage conversations. Through The Golden Road, educational workshops, community events, and Coffee & Conversation, I bring people together with information, local resources, and trusted professionals who can help with many of the decisions that come with this stage of life. Because retirement isn't simply a financial event. It is a life transition—and your home is an important part of that journey.
For Me, This Work Is Personal
Outside of work, I am a wife, mom of six daughters, and Nana to four beautiful grandchildren. Family has shaped the way I think about this work. I know that decisions involving a home are rarely just about numbers. They can involve independence, memories, family, security, and hopes for the future. That is why I take the time to listen, explain, answer questions, and help people explore their options without pressure.
My commitment begins with education—not a mortgage product.
Not Sure Where to Begin?
A complimentary Housing Wealth Review is simply a conversation about where you are today, what you want for the future, and how your home may fit into those plans.
